Most children grow up inheriting their parents' eyes or their attitudes or their conviction. Robin Mills inherited her father's name and her mother's magic. The daughter of Robin Hood and the Wicked Witch of the West, everything in Robin's life came up green. From her mother's envy to her father's hood (and yes, even his eyes), she came into a life and world where her story was already a part of history.
Despite the death of her father when she was only an infant, Robin has never been without love. She was brought up in Storybrooke, long after the heroes the world knew and loved made it what it was. But with a quiet life in a quaint town, Robin always struggled to make a name that was her own. She battled with a need to impress, to be someone of value, to have the approval of her peers. That path eventually lead her back to the Enchanted Forest, at first chasing skills with magic she inherited from her mother.
As was quickly pointed out, Robin had all of her mother's ambition and none of her talent. After nearly making a grave mistake with a dark witch, she gave her magic up, so her mother could have it and instead, sought her story and purpose following in the footsteps of her father.
Unlike magic, Archery was second nature and the adventure it brought set Robin's spirit on fire. She spent her days in the woods, learning a skill she barely had to practice, but learning nonetheless, what it meant to carry a legacy, to hold her shoulders straight, to wear the hood and face ehemies, all in the name of earning hers.
